When I first discovered Pinterest, I didn't feed myself or sleep for three days. I hope someone fed my children. Initially, I couldn't stop staring at all of the pretty pictures. Then, I figured out how to pin my own pretty pictures, and I pinned till my pinning finger cramped up and begged for mercy.
I pinned chicken dishes (I must really like chicken.), desserts (I know I like dessert!), beautifully decorated rooms, funny jokes, and pictures of furry animals. The beauty of Pinterest is that all of these pictures are right there for your viewing pleasure! You see what other people are pinning and re-pin their pins of interest to you onto your own boards. Pins on Pinterest get passed around more than a joint at a rock concert. It's fantastic!
I did wonder how it all started and how the pins were linked to Pinterest, but I was too busy stealing other people's pins to care.
At some point, it dawned on me to clean out my sadly-neglected-hardly-opened favorites folder and pin the links via pictures onto boards. BRILLIANT. So, I needed to learn how to pin from scratch. I did. And I still don't open the links from this stuff I deemed save worthy at some point, but the links in the form of pictures sure are prettier to look at.
I find things on Pinterest that are so inventive, comical, absurd, obnoxious, and awesome that I find myself throwing the links at my friends and begging them to engage me over my latest find. So, that brings me (and you) to Totally Pinteresting. I will be blogging random thoughts, highlighting interesting finds, and making fun of ridiculous finds. Also, I will be keeping track of stuff I actually did from Pinterest. Unless these projects are desserts, they will probably end badly. Trust me. We can all laugh together about my lack of craftiness.
Stay tuned. In the meantime, check out my boards, create your own board if you haven't already, and put a pin on it!
